Occasionally I will be meeting with a variety of vendors and talking with them about their business, finding information that could be useful to you as a client. This post officially kicks off my ‘Vendor’ listing.

As a wedding photographer, when it comes to the actual day OF the wedding, I often find myself completing other tasks besides photographing the day as it happens. I have been known to bustle dresses, pin boutonnieres, play referee, fix cakes, teach people how to CUT cake, find florists, find DJ’s, find missing bridal party members, babysit, iron dresses, iron shirts, sew a wedding dress etc., etc., The only task I haven’t done is actually MARRY the bride and groom 🙂 I’m not ordained but I know a photographer who is! One reason I have had to help with all the above is partly because the couple didn’t book a wedding planner. I don’t MIND doing these jobs, but trust me, I’m a far better photographer than I am a professional at all the things I just mentioned. Some brides say that their Maid of Honor is going to help with the planning, or that their florist is going to help but I have YET to see a Maid of Honor at the alter assisting with everything else happening at the same time. The florists? Once they’ve delivered their flowers, they are gone……..

So, as I mentioned at the top of this post, I am introducing to you an AMAZING wedding planner here in South Carolina. Stephanie Forte of Elegant Events.

Stephanie has been a certified Wedding Planner since 2005. With her assistant Morgan, together they work – hard I might add – at helping your day go smoothly and without interruption from things that may otherwise cause havoc.

To assist in giving you a stress-free, positive planning experience, Elegant Events offers three packages – Full Service Wedding Coordination, Partial Coordination and Wedding Weekend Manager. They also offer services a la carte and service customization. What sets them apart is the attention to detail, personalized service, vendor partnerships and staying in tune with the event planning industry.

Stephanie ABSOLUTELY enjoys her work and this is evident both when talking to her and from her client testimonials. So I ask you, if your wedding day only happens once, and you want to enjoy it from the moment the day starts to the moment the day ends, why WOULDN’T you book a Wedding Planner to take care of everything for you so that you can TRULY enjoy the memories?

I know where you can find a great one! 🙂
