I had been looking forward to shooting this wedding of Jamie and Jonathan with Paul ever since their engagement shoot earlier this year.  They were so much fun that I just KNEW the wedding day would be memorable.

Memorable it was………. 🙂

The morning of the big day, the groom, his father, father-in-law and groomsmen decided to have a game of football prior to getting ready.  Now, the one thing that popped into my head – and apparently everyone else’s EXCEPT the guys – was “Wait, what? What if someone gets injured?”  But boys will be boys and off they headed to play.

For about 5 minutes.  Yes, you guessed it.  One bad hit and the sirens were blaring.  Paul managed to capture some of the action until it stopped for good.

The groom’s dad was rushed to the ER but was given enough pain meds and a back brace that he made it to the church on time – thankfully!

Meanwhile, I was with the girls while they were all getting ready – much safer!

This bridesmaid with the sunglasses, Alex? I’m shooting her wedding in September and Jamie, the bride, will be her Matron of Honor! LOVE seeing friendly faces I know……

At the reception – Windows on the River – Jamie’s dad gave one of the most emotional, loving speeches I think I’ve ever heard.  There was hardly a dry eye in the house as he spoke of how she is not only his daughter but also his best friend and he made everyone laugh as he ended with “I used to be 6’7″ and weight 250lbs” – of course, you had to be there! 😉

I LOVE this photograph of Jamie with her parents while Jon was dancing with his mom!

Once the dancing started – after the DJ managed to play music from this century 😉 – it just didn’t stop! The dance floor was full even when we left!

Jamie and Jon also had a photobooth that everyone used including the bride and groom! 🙂

I wanted to include this last photo – and if I could give this couple an award it would be for the most creative use of the props – EXCELLENT!!!

To Jamie and Jon, congratulations! It was a GORGEOUS day filled with love and happiness and your lives are only destined to get better!

Thank you for letting me be a part of your day.
