Yesterday I attended my first Bridal show. Ever. I’ve never attended one as a bride nor as a vendor so my nerves were frayed let me tell you! Not only was it Photographs by Andrea’s first year, it was also Bravo’s first year at hosting the event – they did a FABULOUS job and were extremely helpful and supportive!
It was a last minute decision but I think it was one of the best I’ve made for my business what with recently moving to the Darlington area and needing to get my name out there! Not many people had heard of me but they were certainly very excited about my work!
Prior to signing up I did a lot of research and knew that I couldn’t handle the show on my own so I asked my AMAZING friend Heidi if she would come and assist – which she did! 🙂 Yay Heidi! She flew down a few days before the show so we had time to get organized, do a trial run and make any last minute purchases that we needed. Needless to say, we will both be quite happy if we don’t see an ‘S’ hook, Hobby Lobby or Walmart again for a while! :-/ She helped with flower arranging, folder assembly and overall decor!
We set the booth up, and braced ourselves! It was a LOT of fun! We met hundreds of people, many of those blushing brides!
As a first time vendor, we were surprised to see that we were the only photography booth that offered any kind of ‘prize drawing’. Three lucky winners will be hearing from me shortly – Dana Hartfield, Rachel Arnette and Nikki VanDeWeert!
The Grand Prize winner of the Bravo Vendor giveaway was Monica Wilson who I shall be seeing Thursday for a consultation!

Once it was all over and the booth had been taken down we came home to finally relax. We were able to reflect on the hard work we had done and felt satisfied that we were able to book a wedding and several consultations!
I want to give a HUGE ‘Thank You’ to all the brides who attended, who came to my booth and raved about my work, to all the Bravo staff, and to Stephanie Forte of Elegant Events who has been a pivotal support to me since I moved down to South Carolina!
