Yesterday, I had the pleasure of showing my wares 😉 at the Bravo Bridal Expo held at the Florence Civic Center, in Florence, SC. This was my second year showing at this event, and with last year being SUCH a success for my business, I decided to do it again. I’m glad I did! Amongst the more than 600 attendees were 237 registered brides-to-be and amongst those 237 were six that had already booked with me! They came by to say hello and that really made my day. I met some really nice people, talked a LOT about my work and why they should book me and generally just had fun!
Helping me again throughout this whole process was Heidi. She flew in from cold Ohio, enjoyed some time in the sun when we had a small break here and there and basically worked non-stop. She loves it and don’t let her tell you otherwise 😉
Also on hand was one of my brides from this past year – Brooke. Having a bride who has not only gone through the experience of attending a bridal show but also has enjoyed the experience of me shooting her wedding it was a win-win situation for me!
The process of putting together the booth started a day or two before the show and I took photos along the way – iPhone photos – don’t judge me!
Wednesday started at the local TV station where they were doing a section on the Bridal Show. A vendor or two were invited to come down and talk about their business – yours truly included. It was fun.
Once Heidi was picked up from the airport, the real work started.
I am running a joint promotion with Stephanie from Elegant Events wherein if a bride books with me and ALSO with her, Stephanie will give a 10% discount from her packages and vice-versa. I love networking with area vendors! Those cards were attached to the backs of my price-lists.
No Bridal Expo is a success without a minimum of three trips to the local Hobby Lobby!

It was a very successful show – two bookings already made from it – and it’s going to be an amazing and SUCCESSFUL 2012-13 for Photographs by Andrea!
