When I received the wedding invitation from Brett and Ashley and saw the words “Eat, Drink and Be Merry…..” I KNEW this was going to be one fun wedding. Add into that mix some friends, a penguin and a kangaroo and you pretty much have this wedding to a TEE!
Yes. A penguin and a kangaroo!
Although it was supposed to rain all day, the clouds held off and instead we got high humidity :-/ but we made the most of it. I shot this wedding with the very capable Paul Lender, a fellow photographer who helps me out every now and again. Together I think we got some great shots! Let’s have a look shall we?
Note: Some family and friends from out of town couldn’t attend so there will be lots of photos here for them too!

I LOVE how even Ashley’s earrings are of a wedding nature ~ they say ‘Mrs’ 🙂
Meanwhile, en route to the first look area, the guys came across a ‘petting zoo’ so of COURSE played with a penguin and a kangaroo 😉
Brett and Ashley decided to do a ‘first look’ so that way, we could get as many photos done before the ceremony as possible – GREAT time saver 🙂
They were married at Trinity Episcopal in downtown Columbus – lovely church and a fun Reverend who raised a laugh or two by wearing a groomsman’s socks!!
The reception was held at St Charles Preparatory School – one of the prettiest reception sites I’ve shot at in a long time!
To add to all the fun they also had a photobooth! (more photos will be in the final gallery…..)
