When I first met with Ginna back in January, I could tell that our time working together was going to be lots of fun. From the engagement shoot, to the upcoming bridal shoot and all the way to her wedding with Josh. I set the date for the engagement shoot and was given a familiar warning “My fiance doesn’t like having his photo taken”. A warning that I not only ignored, but in this instance, Ginna could NOT have been more wrong 🙂

Maybe it’s because Josh is COMPLETELY in love and willing to do whatever Ginna asks, or maybe he secretly DOES like his photograph being taken, this shoot was one of the most fun ones in ages!

We started at FMU and I captured them in settings that spoke of ‘them’ – they both attended this university.

Then – and this is a first for me – they changed into their camouflage outfits! Josh is a hunter through and through. He has 20 hunting dogs. TWENTY! He brought two – Daisy and Star – along and we got a few shots of them all together 🙂 Seeing as Ginna is marrying him, it seems only fair that she becomes a fan of his hobby life!

From there we drove to Huntington Beach State Park. It was a fantastically sunny day and this is truly a lovely place to shoot at!

We found ourselves ending up on the beach and this is where Josh almost incorporated the From Here to Eternity pose!

A very brave man for getting caught in the emotion 🙂

Over all, it was just so much fun and made all the more so because Josh was happy to go along with what we had in store!

Congratulations Ginna and Josh – it’s going to be AWESOME shooting your wedding!

  1. OMG!! These pics bring tears to my eyes! I love them and though I am the biggest fan you have I cant say I have ever cried! (not even at my own pics you took)

The FLOWER pic is the best YET!!!!

You should make a book with all the rings and flowers pics you have take. We should talk more about this idea….
